National Driver Work Diary Knowledge Test

Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) states that you must fill out a work diary (logbook) when operating a fatigue related heavy vehicle under certain conditions. This has always caused confusion with a large number of heavy vehicle drivers.

The National Driver Work Diary Test consists of 28 questions and will help you discover how well you know the rules. There is a 35 minute time limit.

  • The difference between standard hours and BFM?
  • Who to notify if your work diary is lost?
  • Maximum work time allowed in certain periods?

Test Instructions:
  • Enter your email address and create a password to begin.
  • Login details enable test progress to be saved and be resumed at a later date.
  • You will then be required to enter your name and choose whether to join our mailing list. This is optional.
  • Payment can be made through your PayPal account.
  • You will be granted access to the test once payment has been made. 
  • Tests may be taken a maximum of 8 times per payment.  
  • Questions will appear in random order each time a test is taken.
  • To resume a saved test it is a requirement to login by using the original link on the Surface 2 Air website with your saved email and username.
  • To access tests you may be required to enable cookies in your browser.
